Casualty boss’ new job with huge TV star revealed after shock exit from BBC show…

CASUALTY’S former bosses has landed a brand new job with a huge TV star after departing the show.

Jon Sen has ran the hit BBC medical drama for two years but will soon be walking off set for good.

Casualty spoilers for February 18

The former EastEnders boss has teamed up with Sir Lenny Henry to helm a brand new production company.

Called Esmerelda Productions, the house aims to work with ‘under-represented’ cast and crew from the industry.

It’s been created thanks to a whopping £50m from Big Brother’s production firm Banijay and its growth fund.

Sir Lenny will leave his current role as CEO of production company Douglas House for the new venture.

Speaking about the role, he said: “Building up to this announcement has been such a rollercoaster ride of keeping my nose to the grindstone and my mouth shut.

“I am so proud that Banijay have seen fit to invest in us. I can’t wait to scheme and dream with my new, soon to be announced, team at Esmerelda led by the mighty Jon Sen.”

Meanwhile, Jon isn’t the only one leaving Casualty as Nigel Harman previously announced his departure.

The current Strictly Come Dancing star will leave Holby City hospital for good next year.

He said: “My time on Casualty is done for the time being.

“I’m on screen until February and there are no plans for me to come back at the moment.”
