The Young and the Restless’ Noah (Lucas Adams) is back following years of the character being off-screen.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have been sitting by their son’s bedside following his mysterious accident in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. Since then, Noah has been in a coma with bandages on his face, but that’s all about to change.

There’s A New Noah On The Young and the Restless

Sharon and Nick finally got their wish when Noah woke up on The Young and the Restless episode airing Oct. 4. Fans will remember they were supposed to be in Los Angeles to help Noah open a club, but instead, when Sharon arrived, she learned Noah was in a serious car crash that left them with more questions than answers.

There are a couple of reasons the show opted for this storytelling route, including the introduction of what’s been called one of the most “powerful storylines” for the CBS soap. The Los Angeles drama was also a way to introduce new characters, bring another villain back from the dead, and reveal a recast.

Noah now has a new face because there is a new actor in the role. General Hospitalstar Rory Gibson was the last person to play Noah, though the character was written out in 2023 when Noah and his girlfriend, Allie (Kelsey Wang), moved to London.

Two years later, Noah is back, and there’s a new mystery that is connected to an enemy of his parents, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), who may or may not have a connection to the accident.

Who Is the New Noah on The Young and the Restless?

Days of our Lives alum Lucas Adams is the new Noah. The actor is best known for playing Trip, the long-lost son of Steve (Stephen Nichols) on the hit Peacock soap.

Adams debuted as Trip in 2017 and spent years playing him on and off before exiting the show in 2024. The Young and the Restless gig reunited Adams with his on-screen mom from Days, Tamara Braun, who is now playing Sienna on the CBS soap.

It won’t just be his face that looks different in Adams’ version of Noah. Adams revealed to TV Insider that Noah is more mature than the last time The Young and the Restless fans saw him.

“Noah is a good kid who got himself wrapped up in some rough people, and made some interesting choices throughout his life, maybe not the best choices,” he teased.

Adams has nothing but love for his new cast, expressing to the outlet that everyone was beyond welcoming from his first day on set. Buckle up, Y&R fans, new Noah and his decisions are shaking things up on the show.
