‘The Young and the Restless’: Roger Howarth Opens Up About Mitch’s Identity Reveal md23

Two months after The Young and the Restless had fans salivating with the news Roger Howarth had joined the show in a mystery role, we now know who he’s playing. Howarth, who recently premiered on the CBS soap, is Mitch Bacall, AKA evil Matt Clark.

Who was Matt Clark? Among other crimes, he raped Sharon (Sharon Case), divulged she’d given up a child for adoption, framed Nick (Joshua Morrow), plotted to assault Sharon, and so much more. Presumed dead, he’s actually alive, framed Nick, and apparently he was somehow involved in whatever went on around Sharon and Nick’s son Noah’s (Lucas Adams) near-fatal car accident. After all, Noah was working for him and his wife Sienna (Tamara Braun).

Roger Howarth's Young and the Restless Role Revealed

Howarth spoke to Movie News about his character and teased that Matt’s only become worse since we saw him last. And while Sharon recognized him, Matt/Mitch isn’t going to be keen to resume his old identity, even if he harbors the same animosity towards some residents of Genoa City.

Howarth mused:

It’s important for Matt for people to continue to think that he’s Mitch. He’s built a life as Mitch. He values the life he has as Mitch. And it’s very disruptive to Mitch’s life that the Newmans seem to think that he’s another person and he does everything he can to convince them that what they’re seeing is not the truth!
