Emmerdale tonight! Mack replaced by AI as John makes a sly new plan

Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd is left horrified tonight as scheming John Sugden outsmarts him again – this time with help from Artificial Intelligence.

Proving to be the most high-tech villain the soap world has seen, John comes up with a sly plan to trick Charity Dingle over her missing husband’s whereabouts.

Returning to the bunker, John encourages Mack to record a voice message for Charity, ending their relationship for good and vowing never to come back.

Sure that John would kill him afterwards, Mack unsurprisingly refuses.

Sadly, John has an ace up his sleeve as he still has access to Mack’s phone.

The AI-generated voice message says: “It’s me. Sorry to leave it so long. I’m not coming back, Charity.

“There’s nothing for me there. Not after the stuff with the baby. Stay safe and be well. Goodbye.”

So, will Charity be fooled by a fake Mack? And does this now leave the door open for John to kill Mack without raising any suspicions? Let’s face it, John could probably keep these fake voice messages going for a while…

Lawrence Robb, who plays Mack, recently warned that his character’s fate is still uncertain. He said: “I’m glad the secret that Mack isn’t quite dead (yet) is over.

“I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks when people have asked me about his death.

“Whilst I have enjoyed being somewhat of an enigma over that time, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the drama we shot is received on screen.”
