Bold & Beautiful surely expected fans to be happy that it was finally returning Matthew Atkinson to the canvas as prodigal son Thomas. But as soon as they caught wind of what his storyline would be, their reaction went from elated to deflated.

Why Aren’t Fans Psyched About Thomas’ Homecoming?

Like it or not, Thomas is going to be on the frontlines of his parents’ love triangle with Brooke. In fact, in his first episode back, he warns his former stepmother against interfering with his mom’s wedding plans. “They bring Thomas back to what,” mused JustJeanne444 via tweet, “to be a pit bull for Taylor again?”

At Least a Few Viewers Are Happy — Here’s Why
Some members of the audience are hoping that Thomas being stirred back into the mix will give us a reprieve from Luna’s never-ending crime spree. Then again, as blueberriesnectarine said on Reddit, “I see no difference between him and Luna. Both raped people who were drunk.”
