Bold & Beautiful will be shaking up its cast this fall. “There’s a couple of younger characters that are tied to our major families that are going to be coming in,” co-headwriter Michael Minnis tells TV Insider. But which ones?
Are We Being Reintroduced to Brooke and Nick’s Son?
A highly likely candidate for a return is Brooke’s son with Nick. Since the show has long-term plans for Jack Wagner (read all about it here), it would only make sense for his character’s now-grown child to put down roots in L.A. And Nick has mentioned that young Jack is working as a designer at Forrester International. So he’d fit right in at Forrester Creations — and would perhaps make a fine match for newcomer Heidi Engerman’s appealing Lainey.

Could R.J. Be Getting Recast?
It never made any sense that R.J. vanished just as his parents found themselves on opposite sides of Carter and Hope’s business coup. So maybe the soap will make up for lost time by bringing back Brooke and Ridge’s son and pitting him against Jack to be Forrester’s hottest designer. In fact, the two of them could also vie for Lainey’s affections.

We’d love to think that Zende could get in the mix, but the show seems hell-bent on keeping him a background player.

Daphne’s Due for Another French Twist
During the interview, Minnis also disclosed that Bold & Beautiful may be bringing in someone from Daphne’s past who will “have an interesting impact on a number of our characters.” We’d be happy enough if the character reminded Daphne of what a confident pot-stirrer she is and convinced her to stop mooning over Carter.
