General Hospital spoilers reveal that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting has drawn a long list of suspects in Port Charles, as the cut-throat congressman had many enemies.
One character out of the ‘Persons of Interest’ category is ironically Drew’s twin, Jason Morgan, who would normally be included in there, but as he was across the other side of the world in Croatia, saving Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) – as well as WSB agents, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Vaughn – he’s been disqualified.
With that said, his character’s portrayer, Steve Burton, recently offered his own theory on who the shooter could be.
Who Shot Drew Cain?
Burton talked about the ‘Who Dun It’ storyline during his Daily Drama podcast with fellow GHer, Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli).
In fact, Anderson was quick to point out that Jason is ‘miraculously’ not a suspect in Drew’s shooting, which prompted Burton to state, “The only guy who’s not a suspect is the guy who’s killed everybody.”
Both Anderson and Burton noted that they don’t know who shot Drew. Anderson then asked Burton if he could wager a guess on who he thinks the shooter is, and he offered up a theory.
Steve Burton’s Theory
Burton stated that if Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) shot Drew, it would be great, as it could lead to a road to redemption storyline for the character. The two also joked around about filming scenes very soon.
However, this doesn’t mean that fans will get to see Spinelli with Stone Cold together. Anderson states, “I saw our names in the same script line, but we are not in the same room.”
In addition to Willow, the list of suspects currently includes Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), although fans should count out others like Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), or even Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard).
