Even before Harrison Cone made his Bold & Beautiful debut in the September 16 episode, we were intrigued. Not only was his character going to be paired with Remy — giving the show its first gay male couple in its history (better late than never!) — but he was said to be tied to a major player on the show. Which one? Considering that his name is Deke — and he’s listed in the credits as Deke Sharpe — we’re gonna go out on a limb and say that he’s Deacon’s son.

How Did We Meet Deke?
Early on in the episode, back-from-the-dead murderess Luna was surprised when handsome Deke strolled into Remy’s apartment. In short order, she — and we — learned that it was actually their apartment. And they were more than roommates, they were boyfriends.

Luna was taken aback, considering how recently Remy was obsessed with Electra. “The closet is a complicated place,” he said, adding that some part of him probably hoped if the jewelry designer wanted him, he’d be able to hide who he really is. Now, thankfully, he didn’t have to.But there was trouble in paradise for the lovebirds. Though Remy hadn’t told his beau about “pal” Luna, the aspiring designer was well aware of her — and her litany of crimes. Deke was shocked that Remy would be friends with someone like her. Clearly, Bold & Beautiful executes a mad plan to redeem Luna — how?!? — Deke will be another character that she has to win over.

Who Exactly Is Deke?

Turns out, Deke is the character formerly known as Eric Sharpe, the offspring of Deacon and the late Becky Moore. Deacon, back in his cad days, had loved and left innocent Becky, who subsequently gave her son to conniving cousin Amber to raise with her then-husband Rick Forrester. Ultimately, Deacon fought for custody of the boy and, for a time, raised him with ill-fated wife Macy Alexander. Last we heard ages ago, the youngster was staying with his grandparents.

Who’s Playing Deke?

Daytime newcomer Cone has appeared on series such as The Summer I Turned Pretty and American Horror Stories. He was also one of Mariah Carey’s love interest in her new “Type Dangerous” music video.
