They’re Creepy and They’re Kooky, Mysterious and Spooky
The Quartermaines are widely regarded as the most cantankerous family on General Hospital — and with good reason; they never met a fight they wouldn’t pick or a grudge they wouldn’t hold. But for sheer weirdness, even the Q crew can’t top Britt Westbourne and Nathan West’s clan. Read on as we review Who’s Who, all the way down to the family tree’s rotten roots.

Make Room for Daddy
The first member of the family that we met was malevolent patriarch Cesar Faison back in 1990. At the time, he was passing himself off as P.K. Sinclair, a mild-mannered adventure novelist and cigar aficionado. But in reality, he was Anna Devane’s conniving puppet master from her days working as a double agent for the DVX. Need we mention that he was also obsessed with her? Because Lord, was he ever!

Fatal Attraction
Since Anna wanted less than nothing to do with Faison, he became involved with Dr. Liesl Obrecht. Her head told her on a regular basis that he was never that into her, but her heart… Oh, her foolish heart loved the psycho — so much so that, for ages, she did his bidding, no matter how unlawful or downright insane it was.

And Baby Makes Three
Faison and Liesl welcomed into the world a daughter, future doctor Britt Westbourne. And by “welcomed into the world,” we mean “weaponized.” Mom and Pop raised Britt to be every bit as cutthroat and conniving as they were. Hence, upon arriving in Port Charles, she played hella dirty to keep Patrick Drake by her side, even if that meant stealing Lulu Spencer’s embryo and passing off the resulting child as her own.

A Horse of a Different Color
Britt’s kid brother Nathan West was raised apart from their parents and turned out as different from them as night and day. Liesl’s sister Madeline Reeves was no prize — more on her later — but somehow, the PCPD cop still grew up to be as much of a do-gooder as his biological parents were do-badders.

‘Would You Be My… ’ Slams Door!
For a hot minute there, it looked like Nathan wasn’t Faison’s son but that of the equally nutso Victor Cassadine. (Boy, Liesl sure can pick ’em, huh?) She was so much more frightened of Cesar, though, that she killed Victor in cold blood to keep him from revealing that Nathan wasn’t his offspring.

A Match Made in Heaven
Taking that whole “for better or worse” vow to the extreme, Maxie Jones married into the whackadoo family when she took Nathan to be her one and only. Hey, even with her new in-laws as a dysfunctional factor, Nathan was still light years away from the impossibly annoying Levi Dunkleman!

A Chip Off the Old Block
Faison also had a son with Anna’s twin sister, the villainous Alex Devane. And Henrik Faison — better known as Peter August — certainly lived up to his loathsome lineage. He moved in on his “late” half brother Nathan’s “widow” Maxie, murdered Franco Baldwin, cheated death and eventually got whacked by Maxie’s mom, Felicia.

Mommie Dearest
Though Madeline wasn’t really Nathan’s mother, she did have a daughter — Liesl’s beloved niece, Nina Reeves. She and Nathan didn’t turn out to be siblings, yet they remained as close as if they were. Where is Madeline now? Dead, after conspiring with Nina’s onetime husband Ric Lansing to rob her blind.

The ‘Good’ Twin
For decades, Nina languished in a coma thanks to Madeline. In that time, Nina nonetheless gave birth to two daughters, both of whom were spirited away to fairly horrific upbringings. Willow Tait was raised as part of a cult and pimped out to its leader. She still turned out pretty sweet — at least until she got mixed up with Drew Cain. On the other hand, there was…

The Evil Twin
Nelle Benson had a mile-wide mean streak and wasn’t above using anyone or anything to achieve her dastardly goals. She’s now deceased — or at least “deceased” — but her memory lives on in…

The One Good Thing She Ever Did
Nelle’s son with Michael Corinthos — Wiley — is Nina’s grandson. Whether or not adoptive mom Willow wants to let her mom have anything to do with him on any given day!

But Wait, There’s More
Willow’s ill-fated marriage to Michael also brought into the fold Nina’s granddaughter, Amelia.

Kid Stuff
Despite the fact that Rocco Falconeri is Lulu and former husband Dante Falconeri’s son, Britt still thinks of the teen as hers. And she rubs it in Lulu’s face any chance she gets that she gave birth to the child that she named Ben.

The Next Generation
After Nathan’s “death,” Maxie gave birth to their son, to whom she affixed her husband’s given name — James. Needless to say, the boy is in for a heckuva shock. No sooner had Mom slipped into a coma than Dad showed up far more alive than anyone could have imagined!
